John Jennings – My Story
After a lengthy career in Corporate IT, I found myself facing a new phase in my career. Armed with new clarity and with the assistance of a career coach, I set out on an entrepreneurial journey that took through many new and exciting exploits.
I served as CTO for a mid-size government contractor. This period gave me exposure to many new technologies and the opportunity to serve some of the people who help protect and serve our great country. After that, I led business development and created a commercial Audio/Video business. In that role I led the development of a healthcare business sector to include developing a unique telehealth product that was a little bit ahead of its time. Later I led business development for a venture-backed startup in the Healthcare sector that was seeking to build a product that would consolidate data across disparate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
In 2018 I decided it was finally time to pursue my calling. In a period of even greater clarity, I realized that my gift of building and turning around failing businesses and teams could be a benefit to many more than I could do as an employee. After exploring multiple options, I decided to launch my business, and chose to align myself with the team at FocalPoint.
